Baby Book - 17 Weeks Bump

BLANQI Mama
Lots of baby growing going on here.
Feeling flutters all day long!
Tried to make a grocery list today..
not very easy to do since everything I ate when I had morning
sickness the past 4 months sounds horrible.
But the things that do sound good..taste even better. is that wierd? haha.
I love peaches right now..just the smell. I need a peach candle..........;)

Scheduling my ultrasound this week..so excited!
The girls are going to flip when they see the photos..
This is where we could "try" and find out what we are having..
We are planning on waiting this time.. I want to have that experience of surprise!
Let's hope I can stick to it and not give in when I see our bambino! ;)
How funny will it be if we end up with 3 girls!! or 2 girls and a little prince!
Hoping they get a good side view at the appointment..
because the girls both came out looking just like their ultrasound photos.
I have them framed on their wall. :)
Our Sophie...

and Sienna.

I've only been able to picture having a girl..
I am having the hardest time even coming up with boy names I like!
I have no feeling though on what it could be..
except that this pregnancy is NOTHING like the others.
They are only getting progressively harder. haha.
husband thinks it is a boy. sophie thinks it is a girl.
she said today "I'm going to have another sister. lets name it brother." :)

Very Professional Pre-Church Photo Op

We took photos sunday before Church and I love them!
they sum up life right now. :)
I shared the ones of ben and the girls for father's day..
Most photos of me and the girls usually look like this.......
or this..
So I was so excited to see ben got some where we
are all "somewhat" looking at the camera..
even if we are tilting to the right from sophie's hugs...haha.
This is typical..sophie aggressively hugging her sister...
sienna is leaning into me and almost pushing over this top heavy pregnant lady..
I like how sophie's face progressively gets more in pain looking...haha.
It's hit or miss with my girls and family photos..
either they ham it up..
or they sweetly look in pain in all of the photos.
and sienna...well I've given up on her doing what
I say when it comes to taking pictures till at least next year or the year after. ;)

We managed to get a photo with all '5' of us after church..
even if it is just a phone photo..I'll take what I can get!

If suckers are involved everyoneeee is happy ;)

nap time soon followed.

Do your children love taking
family photos as much as mine?
I mean the presentable kind where princess costumes
and silly faces aren't involved?
Maybe next time our Family photos should involve those things. ;)

"Happy Daddy's Day!"

"Happy Daddy's Day.. to the bestest
daddy in the whole world" - sophie.
to  quote a very smart almost 4 yr old. ;)
To my wonderful husband & father of our girls..
You are our protector..our friend.. the tickle monster..
the "let's go get slurrpies and give mom a break" hero
my "you burnt dinner.. don't worry.. I got a sitter we're going to outback!" love of my life.
you are our comedic relief.. our ikea cart pusher..
our "lets go to church and say Hi to Jesus" holy man..
You are such a great daddy to our girls.. and I'm so excited
to be adding one more munchkin to this little pack with you!
Thank you for being such a support and strength for me..
and for loving us girls so amazingly.
love, your wife.
and better half.

It feels like just yesterday we had sophie...
and my heart melted seeing you hold her.
and then we had sienna..and I remember you talking about paying for weddings
and how to deal with future boyfriends..
even though it was just hours after labor. haha.
You are totally wrapped around their little fingers. ;)

Hope you are having a wonderful Father's Day!
I am excited because my dad, another great and holy man, is traveling through
today for work and is staying till tomorrow!
A lucky surprise! We are going to drag him to a grad party with us later..
We'll see how good his Cornhole skills are. ;)

Have fun today..Be safe..
and may God Bless and strengthen all of our Fathers!

Cupcake Felt Board

I have a sweet tooth..even when it comes to felt. ;)
During yesterday's nap time...
I was busy finishing up some sweet treats for my sophie!
I made some Felt Cupcakes for her Felt Board!
6 little cupcakes with 6 different frostings to mix and match..
Yesterday I ordered a couple cupcakes from
Sophie's bakery and they were delish...
I got to choose my own frosting choices and everything.. ;)

I'm thinking of adding these to my Etsy Shop.. e-mail me if you're interested!
My sophie loved them so much and I enjoyed hand stitching them up during nap..
something way more fun to do than dishes. ;)

I'll be posting more on the girls' felt board later this week. I PROMISE!
I got a comment yesterday saying it had
been 21 days since the felt board sneak peek post..haha.
I have finished up some more felt additions since then..
so I just need to snap some shots and then I'll post!
you are gonna flip..cuteness overload.

We left the house today! ;)

The past couple days we didn't go anywhere...
1. This pregnant lady didn't have the energy to wrestle/chase two kiddos
going in the opposite direction in public.
2. I needed some "buckle down" and get stuff done days
By this late afternoon though I was going stir crazy..
so we ended the day with an early dinner at the park...
Sienna announcing veryyyy loudly to the park..that she farted.
lovely.

Couch snuggles before bed..
If anyone says my girls don't look like me..
I'm just going to come back and look at these photos. ;)

Ben and I just got the girls to bed..
it's not even 8..
and it feels like midnight. :)
oldies.

Lasagna Roll Ups- Favorite Pasta Dish

Lasagna Roll Ups
I was having a minor dilema over what to make for dinner..
I looked through the fridge and saw ricotta cheese..parmesan..
thought of stuffed shells..
but only had lasagna noodles.
so I looked up recipes with those ingredients and saw Lasagna Roll Ups!
I'm not very good at sticking to a recipe..
I looked at the general idea and then this is what we ended up with.

The original post I looked at was this one.

I made this tonight...and HAD to post it.
Might have been the pregnancy..but this tasted AMAZING.
the girls devoured it. and so did the husband.
We paired it with Caesar Salad.. and oranges for the girls. (a sienna request)

INGREDIENTS:
8 Lasagna Noodles
small onion
1 bag of Shredded Mozzarella
1/3 cup Parmesan
1 container (15 ounce) Ricotta Cheese (I ended up using 3/4th of it)
1 jar Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1 tsp Diced Garlic Cloves
1 Tb olive oil
Spices: Salt, Pepper, (by eye)
1 Tb Oregano, 1 tsp Basil, 1 tsp Parsley 1 tsp garlic powder
(this is an estimate..I eyeballed it. so go with the amount of seasoning you like.)
(I'm sorry I'm not more specific with how much of the spices I put in.
I usually eye ball it.. and as silly as it sounds..smell it. haha.
If it smells good it's good to go!)

DIRECTIONS:
-Put water on to boil.
-Cook 8 Lasagna noodles for 8-10 minutes. (al dente)
-While the pasta cooks make the Cheese Mixture
-Dice some onions for the sauce..(I did 1TB diced small)
-Mix in a bowl the Ricotta Cheese, Parmesan Cheese, Half the Shredded Mozzarella
-Now add in the spices: Garlic Powder, Salt, Pepper, Oregano, Basil, Parsley
-Have very cute husband drain your pasta because you hate doing that.
-Lay out lasagna noodles on cutting board
(I had a small board..so just put out 4 at a time..left the rest in the colander)
-Preheat Oven to 375
-Pull out 9x13 pan..lightly grease and put a small amount of sauce in bottom
-Use the same pan that you used for the pasta for the Sauce...
-Drizzle a little olive oil..saute onions and 1tsp garlic cloves
-Add in 1/2 cup Diced Tomatoes (I had canned)
-Pour in jar of pasta sauce
-Sprinkle in oregano (I LOVE it..so I added in a good shake.)
(You could also add ground beef to the sauce..we did vegetarian style)
-Put sauce on low simmer
-Drop small amount of cheese mixture onto lasagna and spread. cover entire piece making sure to keep down the middle and away from the edges.
-Roll lasagna and place in pan seam side down.
-Once pan is filled..I salted the pan lightly.. then covered the pasta with sauce.
-I sprinkled pan with more oregano..for color..and because again, love it.
-Sprinkle some of the shredded cheese..leaving some to top off near the end.
-Spray tin foil with cooking spray and cover the pan.
-Cook in Oven for 30 minutes..
-Take out and sprinkle more cheese..
leaving off foil..cook for 5 more minutes or until melted and bubbly.

You need to make this..... so delicious.
Kid and Husband approved.
It came together fast and easy with only a couple pans used.
I'll be making this a lot...it might even be my new favorite
recipe to gift people with. It's so cheesy yummy.

Summer Loving

Summer is here for many of you..
or just around the corner!
I am loving it.. even though my kiddos aren't in school..there is still something about summer that makes me want to bust out the popsicles every day
(slow melt dora ones are the favorites in this house.)
and to enjoy the summer weather...anddd the new ac unit we put in.
The girls are napping right now.. I love nap time.
I took two today thanks to my wonderful husband. 2..and it's only 1!
I have definitely hit the exhausted stage...but then at moments I'll be feeling the complete opposite. Been deep cleaning parts of the house. I suppose the nesting bug and the exhaustion are going to go hand in hand with this pregnancy for a while.
Hope you are enjoying your summer!..or happily counting down the hours! ;)

I seriously can't get enough of these cuties.
Here's the photos I took on our OBX Vacation.
I wanted to document them on my blog..
So next year we can look back and remember! ;)
