Featured: A Budget Friendly Nursery
from the Martha Stewart craft line...I lined the bottom of the pull-shades with it to add some interest.
...The color is from Benjamin Moore and the shade is #618, Robin's Nest. We had our $9 Salvation Army thrifted swivel-rocker chair custom-fit with a yellow/white slipcover. I added some fabric in embroidery hoops to the wall by the chair to add more warmth to the space. It's a fun and inexpensive way to add art. A favorite detail of mine is the "hooray" banner above the shelving unit...it's a word I love and it adds to the goal of making the room cheerful. I got it from Caitlin at her Etsy shop called Nice. The rug is a 3 x 5 foot shag from Crate and Barrel. The bookcase is the "expedit" from Ikea, the baskets along the bottom are from Michael's Crafts, and the blue bins are from Target...the Orla Kiely line. I illustrated the art above the crib. We took a dresser from Ikea and covered some of the drawer-fronts with natural sea-grass wallpaper. Otherwise, it's just a plain white dresser and I wanted it to look fancier somehow. . -Megan
