Black and White Gallery Wall up in Kitchen!

In our new rental, we have a big wall behind the eating area of our kitchen...
and I knew right away I wanted to do a gallery wall with all my black and white frames!
I'll do a more detailed post sometime soon.
Right now I just put all the frames up on the wall and
I have some different prints to update them next.

Since taking the photo below, of the frames up on the wall,
I backed up and moved the bottom row all over a little to the right. haha.
The perfectionist in my has been tweaking them. ;)

The next morning we enjoyed eating breakfast while looking at our frames!
Excited to UPDATE the frames next! I'll be sharing what I put in them
and where the frames are all from. Super happy with how it's coming together.

Nursery Wall- What I Framed

I love wall art..especially framing special
and meaningful things.
In the girls' room I had been wanting to use these 3 opening frames
that my Mom bought me from Kohls on sale.
(I think I was engaged at the time??..We even talked about how cute they would bein a nursery one day!..and here they are! ;)
Thought I would share what I did in the girls' room..
it's a work in progress..(going to cover the S in yarn..one of these days..)
But maybe you can get ideas from it!

Budget-Friendly
Nursery Framing Tips
1. Frame a grouping of special baby photos!
I framed each girls' ultrasound photo..just born photo..and then newborn photo.
I never want to forget how tiny they were!
If we have more kids(God Willing) I want to do the same thing for them all and years down the
road group all of the 3 opening frame photos together
The girls love looking at them too.. Every time sienna looks up at them she points and says
"babyyyy" all sweet. Their just born photos sum up their personalities too.
sophia..calm-er...and sienna..wild. :)

2. Create your own prints..Use photoshop/or a friend who has a program..
to make up something to frame. There are also lots of great prints on
Etsy that are inexpensive and so cute!
I made these up in photoshop..

3. Make your wall art special by framing sentimental items..
Maybe what you brought your babies home in from the hospital!
I think it would be super sweet to frame sentimental items from your childhood as well..
maybe a piece of fabric from your baby blanket!
I framed photos of those first special moments I held each of my babies..

3. DIY "Mats"- I love to use mats to make my photos seem extra special..
but if I don't have a mat or want to buy one..
I just set up the photo to print smaller on the page!
I used photoshop to put two of daddy, with his girls, in one frame.
These were first moments that I LOVED.

Thanks for having a look! :)
I'll be working up some more projects for the girls' room soon!

I love the shades of color in these prints! so soft and dreamy!

Decorate like a Pro without Spending like One: Practical Concrete Tips. #1 - Frames

via madebygirl

I'm going out of town for a long weekend in Nashville..
one of my best friends from high school is getting married!!!!
Tricia was in my wedding and i'm sooo excited to be there for her and celebrate with everyone!
 I love weddings.
and i love tricia. so it's going to be a great weekend.
how stinking cute are they??
tricia and i after a whip cream "incident" the evidence is still on our faces. classic.
out with the girls before i got married! feels so long ago!
(ps. she's anna from in honor of design's little sister.)
I set up a series of posts full of practical concrete tips for making your space look decorated by a pro...but you can take all the credit. ;) and...you know what you are looking for...and what look you want so you go out bargain shopping and be the favorite person of your husband when you come home with money still left in your account. :)

Tip #1 FRAMES
Go Big and Bold with Frames.
Make a statement. Love the Gallery look. So many places have great cheap frames that you can spray paint...or take the ugly picture out and make up your own matte for..... i get most of my frames when they are discounted...and then when i have a collection of them i like i put them up together.
 have fun with it!
Austin Patterson Disston Architects traditional staircase

you don't have to use only big sizes..but mix in large and small.

Create your own Artwork. i love personal touches throughout the home.
This mama used wallpaper she bought at the grocery store!! love it.

my mom did this same idea in her powder room. but with white vintage looking frames.
love this for a dressing room!

Overwhelmed with how to put up your frames??

do you have any rooms in your house where you made a lovely statement with a grouping of frames??
